Carol Lay originated in Orange County, Calif. She graduated from UCLA and stayed in town to draw storyboards for films and animation. In 1993 Lay moved to New York to concentrate on her comic strip. "Story Minute" now appears regularly in several weekly papers. Her illustration work has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and The New Yorker. Lay currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and three cats. Her latest collection of strips is titled Joy Ride.
