AUGUST 25, 1997:  I've got a bunch of juicy Hollywood tidbits for ya this week, so let's dive right in. ... I just received official word on what the sequel to Scream will be called. It's now The Sequel to "Scream." Heh. I gotta give 'em credit for that one. I just hope the movie's as clever as the title. ... Linda Fiorentino, fresh off of Men In Black, and former "SNL" funnyman Chris Rock have just signed on to star in Kevin Smith's new metaphysical comedy Dogma. The Miramax film will be released sometime next year. ... Scriptwriter Jonathan Hensleigh (The Rock) has just inked a deal that will allow him to write and direct a feature film version of The Incredible Hulk for Universal. The film is looking at an early winter start date in Arizona with a theatrical release planned for 1998. Industrial Light and Magic is in negotiations to provide special effects. ... Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo has hit it big now thanks to the $100-million-plus success of Face/Off. So what ever happened to his HK leading man Chow Yun-Fat (The Killer, Hard-boiled)? Chow, who can be seen in next spring's Replacement Killers, co-starring Mira Sorvino, is eyeing a starring role in New Line's upcoming flick The Corrupter. This gritty tale of an NYC cop compromised by Chinese mobsters will most likely be directed by James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross). Glad to see Chow has finally made the trip to America. Can a new Chow Yun-Fat/John Woo collaboration be far behind?
