The first 7-Eleven was located in the East Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Texas.


The OSS tried to break German morale during World War II by printing and distributing forged German postage stamps that included the message "Futsches Reich" meaning "Ruined Empire." To get them into the German mail system, they bombed German postal trains, then dropped sacks of the mail near the wrecks.


Albert Einstein didn't speak until he was three years old.


NASA has been working with Chris Gilman, an Oscar-winning special-effects expert, to improve its spacesuit designs. Gilman's credits include Mars Attacks, Deep Impact, and Armageddon.


By the year 2000, there will be over 100,000 men and women age 100 and older.
