June 13 - June 19, 1997
eah, so like Con Air has been getting a lot of explosure
lately. Or exposure, whatever. This week we've got four, count
'em four, reviews of that testosterone-torqued flick. Can you
believe that? Here's what they say, roughly, and you can link
if you wanna read more:
- It chomps on The Lost World
- It's brutally Airheaded, and that aint no Con
- It beats The Rock but can't beat scissors or paper
or The Longest Yard
- It's secretly a gay movie full of tantalizing man-flesh
We've also got another Lost World review in case you've
been on a deserted tropical island and haven't seen it yet. If
you're the type who prefers French horns to Triceratops horns,
try this interview with Brassed Off writer/director Mark
Herman instead.
Don't forget to check out our Vid-A-Go-Go article about good
"guy movies," our Reel World update on the latest projects
of John Carpenter, Ridley Scott and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and
our incisive short-review Film Clips.
