Ex-con Nicolas Cage has the misfortune of climbing aboard a transport plane populated by the nastiest, grimiest criminals on the planet. Naturally there's a jailbreak and it's up to our good guy hero to stop things from the inside. Cage establishes himself as a credible action hero, and the big name co-stars (John Malkovich, John Cusack) add much-appreciated color. As action films go, this one is witty, well-plotted and packed with the expected fireworks. .
